The Chicagoland Chapter of the Materials Handling & Management Society (MHMS) brings together material handling practitioners and other members of the greater Chicagoland area material handling community.

MHMS Members Tee It Up At Latest Golf Outing

The Old Orchard Country Club in Mount Prospect was the site of the latest MHMS Annual Golf Outing on Friday, June 25. Some 96 golfers teed it up in great weather and celebrated afterward with an awards banquet. (MORE)

Mike Carlson, a long time district manager for Frazier Industrial Rack, was honored as the MHMS Chicagoland Chapter's Man of the Year at this year's golf outing dinner. Mike was the first president of the Chicagoland Chapter of MHMS in the early 1990s. He was feted for his vision in bringing MHMS to this market and his long-standing support of our efforts in providing scholarship funds awarded to students engaged in Plant and Facilities Engineering studies.

Fittingly, given Mike's emphasis on education, members attending the dinner also heard that Austin Buchanan was named the winner of the 2010 MHMS Chicagoland Honor Scholarship.
