Welcome to MHMS Chicagoland

The Chicagoland Chapter of the Materials Handling & Management Society (MHMS) brings together material handling practitioners and other members of the greater Chicagoland area material handling community.

Throughout the year, we sponsor a number of special events to help our members keep up-to-date on recent advances in the industry and how local material handling professionals are responding to the challenges they face in today’s competitive business environment.

Our Mission

The Materials Handling & Management Society is is an independent, non-profit 501(c)(6) organization dedicated to providing career development and recognition for material handling professionals.

This commitment extends to anyone whose responsibilities embrace the planning, design, deployment or operation of equipment and systems that are fundamental to the productive and safe movement, storage, control, and protection of goods through the use of material handling products and practices.

This mission is accomplished through our stakeholders: the members, chapters and our affiliations with related organizations.

MHMS 2012 Golf Outing
Set for June 22

Get ready to tee it up at the annual golf outing sponsored by the Chicagoland Chapter of the Materials Handling and Management Society. This year's event is set for Friday, June 22 at The Highlands of Elgin Golf Course.

The Highlands promises to provide an unparalleled golf experience for MHMS members. GolfWeek magazine recently ranked it the Number 1 municipal course in Illinois and the 9th best in the U.S. It was also cited as the #4 "Best Course You Can Play" in Illinois and the 12th best new course in the U.S.

As with past year's events, the 2012 outing will feature 18 holes of best ball competition as well as individual long-drive and closest-to-the-hole contests. Following the golf will be a happy hour and dinner.

Registrations for foursomes are now being accepted electronically. The cost for a foursome is $500 if paid before May 15. For more information and to register, click here.
